Papa's goats

My Father-in-law has two goats and last weekend Papa DeVon called and asked if Hailey wanted to ride one of his goats. It sounded like fun to us, so we went out to where the goats are kept and Hailey road one of Papa goats. She had a blast!! The only thing that she didn't really like is if the goat started to go a little too fast. She now talks about Papa's goats all the time.

She also thought that it was really fun to feed the goats too!!!

My little, big girl

With the twins coming soon, we decided to try to get Hailey use to sleeping in her new toddler bed. With help I moved it into her room yesterday and let her play on it while I moved stuff around to make room for it. Once she was already for bed she laid down in her new big girl bed and cried a little when we shut the door. After about 2 minutes we didn't hear anything and went to check on her this is what we found.

She had to have all 5 of her favorite animals to sleep, but she slept all night in her new big girl bed. This morning when she woke up and I went in to get her she was very excited that she had slept in her big girl bed all night. She also took her nap in it this afternoon. I think that we might have already succeeded in the transition to the new bed. We'll she how well it goes once the twins arrive.

Twins update!!!

We had our 3rd ultrasound today. All is well!!! Both Chris and Maddie are right on schedule with their growth and size. Maddie is the bigger of the two and has her head up by my ribs. With all her measurement information she measures at 30 weeks and 3 days and weights just over 3 1/2 lbs. Chris is the smaller of the two and he rests with his feet up by my ribs. He measures at 29 weeks and 6 days and weights just over 3 lbs. I'll be 29 weeks tomorrow. I'm told that most twins, while in the womb, will be in the opposite direction of each other. There is a little more room this way. Both are right on schedule as if they were single babies and not twins, but they probably won't gain as much weight as a single baby does at the very end of a pregnancy. The tech said that they can't give me an accurate birth weight and size until after my 34th week, which will be about the time we have our next ultrasound. The tech also said that if I go past my 37th week I will probably have another ultrasound after that. I really do like all of the ultrasounds that I get to have since there is more than one baby in me. It is really cool to get to see them more often than I got to see Hailey in the womb. Chris is very photogenic and cooperates very well with what the tech wants to see. Maddie on the other hand hides and moves all over and makes it difficult for the tech. When the tech tried to show us their faces Chris moved right in the way and we could see his face very clearly, however Maddie kept her hand over half of her face most of the time but we did one picture of her with her hand on her head instead of covering her face. They are both perfect and I can't wait for them to come.

Interesting and fun!

HowManyOfMe.com
LogoThere are
73
people with my name in the U.S.A.

How many have your name?

There are 111 Aaron Walton's, only 2 Hailey Walton's, 1 or fewer Madalynne Walton's, and Christopher beats us all with 475 Christopher Walton's. If I use the twins nick names there are 101 Chris Walton's and still 1 or fewer Maddie Walton's. I guess we picked names on the opposite ends of the list. Also, Walton is the 357th most popular last name. I also tried my maiden name and there are only 3 people that would of shared that name with me. I guess marring Aaron made me popular.

New Job

Aaron has a new job!!! He is the branch manager of Tri-Counties Bank in Palo Cedro. The Palo Cedro branch is as close to our house as the Anderson branch (the branch that he currently works at), so we are not moving. He will be taking over his new branch at the beginning of September. He went there today to introduce himself to his new staff and said that everything went great and that they are all excited to have him there. The best part for me is that the Palo Cedro branch is a traditional branch, meaning that they close at 5:00 and are not open on weekends. This will give us more time together as a family and give me more help with Hailey, Madalynne and Chris. The only downside is that he is not inside Wal-Mart any more, so I loose my personal shopper. I'm very proud and excited for Aaron!!!!

Kids Kingdom

In Redding we have this very cool park called Kids Kingdom. It has a huge play area with lots of activities. Next to the play area there is a small water play area with a volcano that erupts every 15 minutes spraying water out the top, arches with in them misters, holes in the ground that spray up water, and a lot more. Aaron and I took Hailey there last weekend. She had a blast!!! She wasn't too thrilled with the volcano only when it erupts, but other than that she would play on everything. The best part about it is that it is free to the public.

The volcano erupting! It's really fun! (Sorry it's sideways)

The Hair

Lately I have been getting a lot of compliments on Hailey's hair. People ask what I do to it or which side of the family it comes from. I say thanks and that she gets it from both sides of the family. Sometimes I just don't know what to do with all those curls. Most days I just comb it and let it be, knowing that that's all I can do. I do love and even envy her curls a little. I hope that she keeps them for a while if not her whole life. I think her curls add to her personality. They are fun to play with too.
