Day full of babies

Yesterday I had three different appointment for the twins. First I had to go to the hospital for my 20 minutes of monitoring. Everyone is great and no Braxton Hicks. From there I went straight over to my doctors office. Once again everyone is great. I asked her about having a c-section. She said that we would have to wait to see what the ultrasound (my next stop for the day) said before we made any decisions. But if Madalynne had not flipped that I had two choices. One, we would schedule a c-section. Two, I could deliver Chris, who is head down and presenting first, and wait to see if Madalynne flips then if she doesn't then I would need to have an emergency c-section. The reason that I would have to have a c-section if she doesn't flip is that since everything will already be stretched out, for delivering Chris that she might come out butt first and her head could get stuck. The only benefit I saw to Maddie not flipping was that then I would have a scheduled delivery. From my doctors office I drove across town to the ultrasound place and got to see the twins. Chris was his usual photogenic self and we got to see his face. Madalynne on the other hand had her face in toward her brother and down a little so we couldn't see any of her face. We could see that she has hair though. We could also see that she had flipped!!!!! Yea, they are both head down and very, very low. Chris is at the top of my pelvic bone and the top of Madalynne's head is level with his eyes. I'm now 35 weeks along and could have them any day and all should be great. Oh yea one more thing that most of you want to know, Madalynne is about 6lbs 2oz and Chris is 5lbs 4oz. This is not completely accurate as most of you that have had children know, but according to the measurements of each this is any estimate. I can't wait for them to come!!! I really want to hold them.

One more place to go

Yesterday I had to go up to the hospital. Nothing to worry or get excited about. My doctor wants me to go to the hospital twice a week to monitor the twins. All that happens is that I lay in a hospital bed for 20 minutes with a fetal heart monitor on each baby and also the monitor that checks for and keeps track of contractions. This is something that my doctor usually does at her office, but since I'm having twins and she is only equip to monitor single babies she sent me to the hospital for it. The nurse that checked everything said that the twins are doing beautifully and also informed that I'm having Braxton Hicks contractions (which I don't feel). I thought that it was pretty funny that I'm having contractions, even if they are fake, that I don't feel. They also monitor how the babies react to the contractions. The only bad news that I got was that if Madalynne, who is head up, doesn't flip to be head down when I go into labor that I will have to have a c-section. I know that that isn't all that bad but I really don't want to have a c-section, because the recovery time is much longer and much harder. We have another ultrasound on Monday so we should be able to see then if there are any changes in the babies positions. That's all for now I'll keep you posted if anything else changes.

Piggy Tails

Hailey's hair is now long enough for me to do something with. Enjoy the new hair do! Aaron and I agree that she looks older with her hair pulled back. What do you think?
