8 months

Chris and Maddie are now 8 months (and 5 days old)!!! A little late, but not bad considering all that is going on around here. Enjoy!!!

Always Entertaining

Anytime I get the camera Hailey insists I take a picture of her. Here are a few of her recent ones.

WARNING: If you come to our house and take off your shoes this will happen to you. Good luck finding your shoes when you want to leave. Heels are her favorite, because they make the most noise. This happens to me every Sunday when we get home from church.

Random but necessary

About a month ago we had the Redding Rodeo. To show his support Aaron had his branch decorated, had a chili cook off with all of his employees (he didn't win) and on the last day before the rodeo he shaved his facial hair to look like this...

Lucky for me we had family pictures that weekend so it didn't stick around for long.

Breakfast of Champions

This morning Hailey said "Mama, I'm hungry."

I replied "OK, what do you want for breakfast?"

And after thinking about it for a few seconds she said "Burgers!"We had cereal instead.

6 Flags Discovery Kingdom

This past Friday we went to 6 Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo. It was a blast!!! It was Hailey's first time at an amusement park and she loved every minute of it!!! She was a little to short to ride any rides by herself, but I think she would rather of had Mom or Dad with her anyways. She also loved spending the day with one of her Grandmas, a couple of Aunts and about half of her cousins. Since we had 3 double strollers and one single stroller, all of the older kids played musical strollers. She liked any ride that went up high, went fast, or spun around but her favorite ride was the swings.

Hailey loved all of the animals but her favorite animals to see were the dolphins.

I think Chris and Maddie had fun too, even though they had no idea what was going on. They enjoyed being outside all day and took turns sleeping in their double stroller.

Learning to Sharing

Now that Chris and Maddie move around better it's easier for them to get to each other. Like most kids they want what the other one has, even if they just had it. I use to be able to put them on either side of the room with their own pile of toys and everyone was happy. Now Chris kind of crawls and Maddie rolls until they get to each other, really to the toy that other one has. While it is very cute to watch, someone always ends up getting upset. In these pictures Chris is doing the taking (except the pacifier is attached to Maddie) and Maddie is getting very upset.

Don't feel too sorry for Maddie, because it does go both ways. Sometimes she is the one taking from her older brother.

Our Beautiful Andrea

Our niece, Andrea graduated from 8th grade this passed Wednesday. She is a wonderful young woman!!! I can't believe that she will be in High School next year.

When Aaron graduated from High School Andrea was a toddler and there is a picture of him holding her at his graduation. We thought it would be fun to have a picture of him holding her at her graduation.

During the ceremony the graduates came out to the audience and gave their moms a flower as a thank you.

Hailey loves her cousin. She called out her name the entire ceremony and climbed into her arms as soon as Andrea came over to us.

Congratulations Andrea!!! We are proud of you and love you very much!!!

Does everything comes in two's?

Maddie got her first teeth!!!! Yes, teeth. On the morning of May 18th I felt the little sharp points of a tooth popping out of Maddie's gums. When Aaron got home from work (around 6) I had him feel her gums for the tooth. When he did, he said "Don't you mean, teeth?" He was right. That morning it was one tooth and with in 9 hours she had popped out her second tooth. I waited until now to post so I could have pictures to go with it.
